I am a qualified nurse and have completed additional training in administering aesthetic treatments.
I work in a clinical environment and have also completed aesthetic complications training.
I am fully insured to practice these treatments.
As there are small needles involved in administering dermal filler treatments, there is some discomfort, however
I use a topical numbing cream before these treatments and advise ice packs at home to minimise discomfort.
Wrinkle relaxing is administered using very fine needles therefore there is minimal discomfort.
Dermaplaning involves a sterile surgical scalpel to the facial skin but it is used in such a way that there is little or no discomfort during this treatment.
Waxing can cause some stinging or irritable skin but using the correct aftercare reduces this sensation.
The overall benefit is to try to slow down the ageing process and by doing so, increase self worth and enhance natural beauty.
Looking after your health and specifically your skin is an essential part of this process.
I am insured to treat over 18’s only for dermal filler and anti-wrinkle procedures.
Some people believe that prevention is better than cure so some will start having treatments as soon as they start seeing their first wrinkle, others start when they see and feel a change in the skin’s elasticity and contour.
Wrinkle relaxing typically lasts around 3 months which is when the product starts to wear off and the body naturally starts to re engage the receptors that have been temporarily relaxed by the toxin.
Dermal fillers typically last 6 to 12 months however, I use high quality FDA approved hyaloronic based filler which have increased longevity, often 12 to 18 months.
Dermaplaning and waxing are often treatments clients return for after around 6 weeks depending upon hair growth rate.
Side effects will be discussed during your consultation dependent upon chosen treatment.
More general side effects of dermal fillers are redness, bruising, swelling, and sometimes reoccurrence of cold sores .
Upmost care will be taken during your procedure and fortunately side effects are often short lived and well tolerated without any further intervention.
